On October 8, 2025, our CEO Jothishkumar Thekkoote attended the Tamil Nadu EFTA Business Summit 2025 at the Taj Connemara in Chennai, organised by the Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) with Guidance Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu’s Industries Minister, Dr. T. R. B. Rajaa, was the chief guest.
The timing mattered. Just a week earlier, on October 1, the India–EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) came into force, opening a new chapter for trade between India and the EFTA nations: Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein. The summit brought business leaders and diplomats together to explore what that means for trade, technology and long-term collaboration.
Engaging with European leadership
For Geesesquads, building relationships across borders opens new possibilities for our clients. It was an honour for Jothishkumar to speak directly with the European representatives shaping trade and innovation between our regions, including:
- H.E. Maya Tissafi, Ambassador of Switzerland to India and Bhutan
- H.E. Benedikt Höskuldsson, Ambassador of Iceland to India, with Rahul Chongtham, Commercial Counsellor of Iceland
- Mr. Bjørn Iversen, Head of Innovation Norway and Commercial Counsellor, Royal Norwegian Embassy

Every conversation came back to one shared view: the companies that win tomorrow will combine strong technical fundamentals with a borderless approach to talent and innovation.
“European businesses want more than an offshore vendor. They want a partner who understands their market, their standards and their pace. That is the bridge we are building.”
Aligning with the global tech ecosystem
Summits like this fit naturally with how we work. Our clients, from startups to enterprises across Europe, Latin America and the US, need an engineering partner with a global mindset.
Since 2022, a European digital agency has tripled its project capacity with our dedicated engineering team in India. We have also built a tokenization platform that makes a complex product simple to use, and a farm management system for vertical farms that keeps crops growing even when the network goes down.
By staying close to international leaders and understanding the priorities of European markets, we keep our Squad Model aligned with the standards our clients expect.
Thank you to SICCI and Guidance Tamil Nadu for bringing India and the EFTA nations together at such an important moment.
